Point Detectors

So as to provide feedback to the interlocking of point positions, and external point detector mechanism can be used.

The point detector ETC-9, with a stroke of 105-170 mm, is made of two basic sub-assemblies mounted on a common mild steel base plate, each tongue of the point is connected, with an insulated rod, to the point detector.

The mechanical sub-assembly consists of two radius arms on pivots and two detector slides and their guides and the electrical sub-assembly consists of a terminal box and two limit-switches, each mounted on an adjustable frame. A galvanised cover fits over the whole assembly and can be secured by a padlock.
